The Hoover Homestead effort began with just a few goals in mind; a little more self-sufficiency and some fun. While we're still tremendously far away from true self-sufficiency we are attempting to collect our rain water, compost our own soil, grow some of our own food through our gardening efforts and raise egg chickens. In the snowball effect of this journey we've added a few ducks, rabbits and goats as well to round out our little homestead. I don't know if we're any closer to being self sustaining but I'm having fun.

Below are a few photos and updates of our journey thus far. Be encouraged and keep moving forward.
