"Give us this day our daily bread."
Matthew 6:11 (NASB)
If you're anything like me (be thankful if you're not) then you can sometimes focus too much on not what's happening today but what's coming down the road. As a planner, I enjoy mapping things out, getting stuff scheduled on my calendar and thinking through what's needed to make those things a reality. As a result, I can pinpoint a future date on my calendar and live with a sense of dread as the date approaches if that date, event, appointment, etc. is something I'm nervous or anxious about.
I'm reminded this morning that what's coming down the road shouldn't be looming in my mind. What I should be focused on is how God has provided for me today, and if He's provided for me today then why wouldn't He provide for me on that day as well.
Thankfully God's mercies are new every morning. Be encouraged and keep moving forward.
